Captain's Day - Saturday 19th July
Members are reminded that the tee off sheet will be posted on the notice board on Saturday 28th June and the slots are rapidly filled, so be prompt in booking your slot.
The evening function is at the Fairfax, 7.00 for 7.30, cost £15. This is a social occasion to which all members and their guests are welcome whether you played during the day or not. Please let me know as soon as possible if you are attending, as in fairness to the Fairfax, I must give them an indication of numbers in good time in order that they can use any free space for other diners. Could you therefore add your name to the notice in the members hut or contact the secretary as soon as possible. Payment can be made on the evening of the function.
The prizes will be presented around 9.15 to 9.30 at the evening function. If you are a prize winner (even if unexpected!) you are reminded that as a courtesy to the captains, you should be there to collect your prize, even if you are not otherwise attending the evening function.
Invitation Day - Sunday 29th July
The tee off sheet will be posted on the notice board on Sunday 29th June. Play is in teams of four, two members and two visitors, with the two best net scores counting on each hole. If you have a guest you wish to invite but do not have another pair to team up with, please let the Captains know and every effort will be made to find another pair. The team can be any combination of men and women provided there are two members and two guests in the team. There is a shotgun start at 2.0 p.m., followed by a meal at the Fairfax Arms at 6.30 p.m. (dress casual). The price is £15.00 per person to cover the golf, the evening meal and the prizes. Further details are on the tee-off sheets

New Members
New members are welcome. Your help in recruiting new members is more valuable than adverts in the press as a recommendation from an existing member is much more likely to be effective. Please do what you can, use your vouchers, and remember more members mean an increase in income and the ability to implement improvements sooner.
