CLUBHOUSE UPDATE

In spite of the very inclement weather conditions and the extended Christmas break, good progress has been made. Inside, The partitions and first fixings are nearly complete, electricity has been connected, sewerage laid and water services supplied.

Outside, apart from the veranda, the Clubhouse is essentially complete.  The shingle covering of the roof has been completed and the paintwork almost complete.  The photo was taken on the Saturday 29th January.

It is quite difficult to forecast a completion date but the aim is to be ready for the opening of the new season.   We still have to level and surface the site, complete the final fixings of plumbing and electrics, carpet and paint the interior and provide the furniture.  That so much has been done and that the project will have been completed without grants from outside bodies is testament to the generosity of the members both in providing the labour for the project and in donating funds to it.
